Yesudas - The Velvet Voice is a music album that contains compilation of various songs by the legendary Yesudas. The album was released in India. The songs in the album are Hindi songs that Yesudas made popular in the Bollywood movies he sang in.
This album contains over 40 songs from different movies that were popular during his time, that is from the 20th century onwards. In this album, there are four songs from the hit movie, Chitchor. There are two songs from the movies Sawan Ko Aane Do and Maan Abhiman. It also contains one song each from the movies Sunayana, Chashm-E-Buddoor, Saajan Bina Suhagan, Anand Mahal, Swami, Apne Paraye, Mazdoor Zindabad, Shikshaa, Haisiyat, Ek Baar Kaho, Do Ladke Dono Kadke, Kaaran, Darinda, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, Meethi Meethi Baatein, Agar, Ayaash, Safed Jhooth and Do Chehere.
Gori Tera Gaon Bada Pyara is one of Yesudass most popular tracks and has been included in this album. Some of these songs have won awards as well. The songs in this album cross all genres and express all kinds of moods from happy and ecstatic, to sad and emotional. Yesudas - The Velvet Voice was released by the label, SAREGAMA, in 2009 and comes as a single audio CD.

Yesudas is an Indian artist who sings multilingual songs, Indian classical music, light and devotional music and film songs. His commercial recordings have spanned over multiple genres. He has written songs for Bengali, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam movies. He has also received awards for his songs in those specific industries. He also released two albums for Onam, a festival in Kerala.
